The Project House of Hope in Haiti

January 2015 marked my first trip to Haiti with Project House of Hope. I volunteered at the orphanage they support, and helped with the Women's Empowerment Group and additional community projects. I was lucky enough to teach some yoga to adults and kids on my trip, as well. Below are some photos from this amazing and eye opening trip. The people of Haiti, so many of whom are in abject poverty, still have a smile on their face and are ready to give you a hug!

It takes over $3000 a month for Project House of Hope to keep their orphanage running. This amazing non-profit group continues to raise funds, the best  that they can, but they need help. PHoH is in great need of on-going monthly donations. Please consider even $20 a month....every little bit adds up quickly. They have a donation program that will automatically take the same amount from your bank each month, it's that easy! Check out the pictures and the stories below to see the lives you'll be touching with your donation. Thank you!

I headed back on June 26, 2015. I was so excited to see the kids again, and to see how far the second orphanage had come. PHoH has taken on another 15 children in their second orphanage. The kids are doing so much better now with an awesome new home, food on their plates, books to read and changes of clothes. It brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face to see them happy, energetic, healthy and full of love and inspiration.
