Empowered Hands on Assisting Part I & Part II:

Become more empowered in your teaching and your practice. Join Brooke Nisbet,

E-RYT200, RYT500, for a chance to learn and explore hands on assisting in yoga.

Whether you want to deepen your own understanding of yoga poses or gain more

experience and knowledge in hands on assisting as a yoga teacher, this workshop

is for you. Through this workshop, learn & explore how to safely assist your

students in a large number of yoga poses. Also, learn to assist your students

with integrity, love and service. Walk away with new tools, insights and more

confidence as a yoga teacher or yoga practitioner. This workshop is 3.5 hours

and is open to teachers, teacher trainees, and yoga practioners.

(*Yoga teachers can earn 3.5 CEUs at this workshop.)

Art of the Private Yoga Session:

Yoga teachers, this is for you! (Personal Trainers and other private fitness teachers will benefit as well.) Excited at the idea of teaching your first private yoga session? Yet, do you also feel like you're not sure what to do? Join Brooke Nisbet, E-RYT 200, for this enlightening workshop that will boost your knowledge and confidence in leading a private yoga session. All teachers welcome, veteran and new. 2 hrs | $25
 

Catching Air! 

Are you ready to take your practice to the next level? Brooke will teach you arm balances that will challenge you, yet make you smile & laugh. She will also teach you how to deepen your inversion & backbend practice in a mindful and knowledgeable way. You will explore inversions and arm balance poses such as: handstand, headstand, chin stand, fallen angel, upward facing lotus, firefly, shoulder-pressing pose, funky side crow, upward facing bow, drop backs, tick tocks and more! Use this workshop as a “Try It On Monday”, and begin adding these new elements to your practice the very next day! (This practice is recommended for yogis who feel confident in headstands & backbends.)

Learn to Fly!

Take your arm balance practice to the next level with Brooke. Learn how to move into more advanced arm balances with strength and ease. You will learn arm balances such as: funky side crow, flying pigeon, scissors 2, dragon fly, firefly, elephant trunk, and more! This will be a fun way to learn new and challenging poses to add to your yoga practice. Bring a friend! (Recommended for Advanced Beginners and beyond.) 

Beginner Vinyasa Yoga Series

This is a 4 week beginner series to learn and explore the principles of alignment for the poses in Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes. You will learn about breathing and basic meditation, as well. Along with a tour of the studio, you will learn about some basic yoga theory, use and care of mats & yogitoes towels, how to use yoga props, and more. If you need a refresher for your current practice, then this series is also for you! These classes are held at Soul Shine Yoga and are unheated. We will meet for 2 hours on 4 consecutive Sundays starting Jan. 18 - Feb. 8, 2015.

 

Destress and Detox Fundraising Flow

I will be going to Haiti in Jan. 2015 to volunteer with the Project House of Hope, which empowers Haitian children who have been orphaned. 100% of the proceeds for this class will go towards funding my trip. This will be an unheated, all levels 90 min. Vinyasa Flow class infused with Kundalini & Restorative Yoga. This class is designed to help you unwind, de-stress, re-center and detox from the holiday chaos. Bring a friend!

Happy Hips and Hamstrings

Intro to Inversions Workshop

Doubt your doubts and learn to get upside down! Are you ready to try headstand or handstand, but aren't sure how to get your legs over your head with safety and ease? Then, this workshop is for you! Learn the safe alignment for getting upside and how to build strength to enhance your ability to invert. Learn the set up for and possible flight for poses such as: tri-pod headstand, traditional headstand, dolphin and handstand.
